Calvin G. Hill is a retired American football player. He played for the national football federation for twelve seasons. Hill played for the NFL Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns. He also played a season with the Hawaii team in the World Football Federation in 1975. Hill has been named to the Pro Bowl four times. In 1972, he became the first Cowboy to return to a 1,000-yard run; he repeated the feat the following season with 1,142 yards rushing forward. Yale University awarded Hill an honorary doctorate in human letters when he debuted in 2016. "You are a Yale Legend" is the first sentence of a statement honoring Hill.
